A village in the mountains, a step from the lake.
At the foot of the Corni, among the woods of the Larian Triangle, Canzo is an authentic village where the mountains begin at the square.
The hotel sits on Via Mazzini, steps from Piazza Garibaldi, the heart of the town: the market, the cafés, the historic streets. From the rooms' windows, the rooftops of Canzo and the peaks that glow at sunset.
From the square, the trails of the Gajum valley begin: the Ravella stream, the Geological Trail, the springs, the mountain huts. At the top, the Corni di Canzo offer one of the finest panoramas of the Prealps, with the lake suddenly opening beneath you.
On your return, a ceppo-stone shower and an aperitivo at the bistrot: the mountains, done well.
Como with its cathedral and silk-weaving streets, Bellagio suspended between the two branches of the lake, the villas and gardens that have enchanted travellers of every era. Canzo is the perfect starting point: the quiet of the village, the beauty of the lake within reach.
By car: 50 minutes from Milan, 28 from Como. By train: the Milan–Asso line, with Canzo station a few steps from the hotel. Milan's airports (Linate, Malpensa, Orio al Serio) are about an hour away.
