For over one hundred and thirty years the Ponti family has been sweetening Canzo. Today that same care — for ingredients, for craft, for the guest — lives at Albergo Canzo.
The historic pastry shop on the square, the bistrot with its wood-and-brass counter, the hotel's ten rooms: three different ways of saying welcome, steps from one another, in the heart of the village.
On the hotel's ground floor, the bistrot is the village's living room: café and wine bar, light lunches, aperitivi at sunset. The great inlaid wooden counter, the terrazzo floors and the suspended lights make it a place worth lingering in.

The day begins in the old hall with its frescoed vaults: brioches and leavened pastries baked by Pasticceria Ponti, homemade cakes, jams, coffee prepared at the counter. A pastry chefs' breakfast, served slowly, as it should be.
